Round 1: Subsidy Applications Open!
Volunteering WA is pleased to offer subsidies for registration, travel and accommodation costs to attend the 2025 State Conference.
YOUTH REGISTRATION SUBSIDY
Thanks to Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, Volunteering WA will help support young people (aged 30 years and under) from the volunteering community to attend the two-day conference by covering the cost of their ticket registration. Support from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation has helped make this conference accessible to emerging volunteer managers and leaders. Limited places available.
RURAL & REGIONAL SUBSIDIES
Are you involved in a regional Western Australian organisation or community group and need financial support to travel to and attend the Conference? To ensure regional attendees are able to participate in the Volunteering WA State Conference and contribute to the conversations as panellists and participants, we invite regional volunteer managers and leaders to apply for a travel and accommodation subsidy thanks to support from Lotterywest.
Travel and accommodation
The Lotterywest subsidy is available to help cover travel (flights, fuel allowance, bus, train) and accommodation (2-3 nights) for regional volunteer managers to attend the 2025 Volunteering WA State Conference. Successful applicants will still need to pay for their ticket registration to attend the conference, unless Volunteering WA confirms in writing that there is funding available for partial or whole ticket reimbursements.
Registration support
Rural and regional attendees representing a not-for-profit organisation with an annual revenue of less than $1.5 million can also apply for a whole or partial subsidy of the conference registration.
The first round of subsidy applications are open until 28 July 2025.
FUNDING POOL
Volunteering WA will accept and announce successful recipients in rounds until funding is exhausted, to allow for people to secure accommodation and travel with as much notice as possible. Following each application round, Volunteering WA will confirm in writing the successful travel and/or accommodation expenses, and where eligible the part or whole registration. Successful applicants are selected on a needs basis, based on the answers to the questions in the application form.
