2021 State Conference
About the Conference
We are pleased to announce the Volunteering WA 2021 State Conference will take place from 22 – 23 November 2021.
The Volunteering WA 2021 State Conference is the primary forum in WA where leaders and practitioners come together to build knowledge, leadership and best practice in the volunteering sector.
The Conference has been developed for Volunteer Coordinators and Managers in the not-for-profit and community sectors, bringing together experts, academics and industry leaders to allow delegates the opportunity to advance their knowledge, develop skills and network.
Diversity, Power and Purpose
With the theme of ‘Diversity, Power and Purpose’, the Conference will challenge delegates to leverage the diversity of the volunteering sector and harness its power to address some of the most significant issues faced by the community. Delegates will be inspired to learn, collaborate and shape the future of volunteering in WA.
Program - Call for Abstracts
Volunteering WA invites you to contribute your voice by submitting an abstract to present at the upcoming Volunteering WA State Conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Perth from 22 – 23 November 2021.
The theme of the conference is Diversity, Power, Purpose and will challenge delegates to leverage the diversity of the volunteering sector and harness its power to address some of the most significant issues faced by today’s society.
This premier volunteering event provides a forum for not-for-profit leaders, managers of volunteers, researchers and policy contributors to advance, shape and strengthen the volunteering sector through knowledge sharing, discussion and participation.
Abstracts relating to our conference theme with a particular focus on the following sub-themes are encouraged:
- Inclusion - how we extend the reach in our communities to leverage and embrace diversity through volunteering
- Innovation - how we step up and harness the power of volunteering Australia-wide to challenge issues and positively influence societal change
- Inspiration - how we can go beyond, discover, share purpose and shape the future of volunteering in Australia
Volunteering WA is welcoming abstract submissions from anyone with an interest in volunteering – volunteers, administrators, consumers, researchers, industry partners, corporates, peak bodies and national associations.
