Seeing beyond your Cultural lens

This interactive four-hour online session will be facilitated by Tania Harris, a proud Bundjalung woman.

Tania is the Engagement Manager at the Health Consumers’ Council with the responsibility for the Aboriginal and disability portfolios, and has a background in consumer advocacy, community and parenting support and ear health.

The workshop is an opportunity for self-reflection and learning in an environment that is safe and supportive. In this session you will learn about and will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the concept of cultural lens and its impact on perceptions, attitudes and behaviours.

  • Understand biases and stereotyping.

  • Promote awareness,empathy and inclusivity.

Suitability: This session is for all leaders of volunteers, volunteer managers and volunteers.
