Acknowledging Country

This one-and-a-half-hour online session is being facilitated by Tania Harris, a proud Bundjalung woman who has been lucky to make her home on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar for the last 30 odd years.

Tania is the Aboriginal Engagement Coordinator at the Health Consumers’ Council and has a background in consumer advocacy, community and parenting support and ear health.

In this session you will learn about and will have the opportunity to:

  • why and when to do an Acknowledgement of Country
  • the format and what to include in an Acknowledgement of Country
  • how to design and practice your own meaningful and personalised Acknowledgement of Country
  • yarn and ask any questions you may have.

Suitability: This session is for all leaders of volunteers who regularly facilitate an acknowledgement to Country

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points: Up to 0.5 CPD point is awarded for attending this network session. To learn more about Continuous Professional Development with Volunteering WA and how to register click on the CPD link
