International Volunteer Day Garden Party

Each year, on the Thursday closest to International Volunteer Day (Thursday 5 December 2024), Volunteering WA hosts the annual garden party. With more than 500 volunteers attending each year, this is a beautiful event that allows volunteers to connect with each other.

International Volunteer Day (IVD), mandated by the UN General Assembly, is celebrated around the world on 5 December each year and recognises the outstanding contribution that volunteers make in their communities.

With over 1.5 million volunteers in Western Australia, International Volunteer Day is a day for mass celebration. Volunteer involving organisations celebrate the contributions of thousands of volunteers who support their programs and services to the community.
