Grant funding will be available to identified volunteer service organisations for projects that increase awareness and uptake of volunteering in Western Australia.

The $100,000 Promotion and Marketing of Volunteering in Western Australia Grants Program will be funded by the Department of Communities and administered by Volunteering WA.

Funding of up to $5,000 will be available to volunteer service organisations and local governments, supporting local solutions that actively promote the value of volunteering to the local community.

Grants can be used for marketing and promotion activities that promote the value of volunteering to a local community, which could include the design and development of resources or marketing strategies, awareness raising activities, matching services and providing information online and via social media.

Who can apply for the grant

Volunteer resource and service organisations in Western Australia.

That is:

  • Volunteer Resource Centres (VRC);
  • Local Government Associations undertaking volunteer resource services; or
  • Community Resource Centres (CRC) undertaking volunteer resource services.
