Seeing Beyond your Cultural Lens
Tania Harris is a proud Bundjalung woman who has been lucky to make her home on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar for the last 30 odd years. Tania is the Aboriginal Engagement Coordinator at the Health Consumers’ Council and has a background in consumer advocacy, community and parenting support and ear health.
This workshop is an opportunity for self-reflection and learning in an environment that is safe and supportive.
In this session you will learn about and will have the opportunity to:
- Explore the concept of cultural lens and its impact on perceptions, attitudes and behaviours.
- Understand biases and stereotyping.
- Promote awareness,empathy and inclusivity.
Suitability: This session is for all leaders of volunteers, volunteer managers.
