Attracting and Retaining Young Volunteers

Engaging young people to volunteer in your organisation creates new energy, fresh ideas and opportunities for positive change. Young people seek not only a sense of purpose from volunteering and their work but also opportunities to learn and develop professionally and personally in their roles.

This workshop looks at effective strategies to attract young people to your mission and volunteer programs, as well as very practical tips for recruitment and engagement strategies. Importantly, we will look at what makes young people remain in their roles.

Delivered by experts in youth volunteer management, you will leave this training with many practical and actionable steps to overcome barriers in attracting and retaining young people. This training also includes many resources to take back to your organisation to assist in implementing your youth engagement plan.

Suitability: For all Volunteer Managers and Leaders

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points: Up to 1 CPD point is awarded for completing this workshop.

This Volunteering WA workshop is free thanks to funding by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
