National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers and celebrates their significant contribution to communities across the country. Learn more about National Volunteer Week.
Volunteering WA, with generous support from Lotterywest, is offering volunteer involving organisations across Western Australia the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $1,500 to organise an event or activity which recognises and thanks volunteers during National Volunteer Week (Monday 19 - Sunday 25 May 2025).

2024 Grant Recipients
In 2024, 254 WA volunteering organisations shared in over $335,000 through Volunteering WA’s National Volunteer Week Grants to celebrate and recognise their volunteers throughout the week.
2024's successful National Volunteer Week Recipients spanned all the way from Wellstead to Derby, ensuring thousands of dedicated volunteers across the state were recognised for their contributions.
Funding acknowledgement
Successful recipients of the 2025 National Volunteer Week Grants will need to acknowledge the support of Volunteering WA and Lotterywest throughout the funded activity, including in speeches, media releases, social media promotion, brochures, leaflets, display, invitations, posters, certificates, websites.
