Your Role
As the peak body for volunteering, Volunteering WA is here to champion and support managers and coordinators who deliver incredible volunteering programs across the state. Our job is to help make their job easier – working as a team, you will work alongside our Training Manager to keep volunteering organisations skilled up on the latest volunteer management topics and tools.
As Volunteering WA’s Training Coordinator, you will liaise directly with professionals who manage volunteering programs across WA and help build their capacity to make a difference and establish volunteer management as a career pathway.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Use your knowledge of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvements to create training content and deliver engaging in-person and online workshops for people who lead and coordinate volunteers across the State.
- Review and update existing training content and resources helping keep Volunteering WA’s content fresh and relevant.
- Plan, schedule and maintain Volunteering WA’s annual training calendar.
- Create a space for professional development and networking through regular networking meetings for volunteer managers.
- Champion ongoing skill development for leaders and coordinators of volunteers through the administration and delivery Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program.
About You
- Relevant qualifications (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or equivalent training experience or tertiary qualification.
- Adept at creating professional and branded training resources in Microsoft Powerpoint and Word.
- Demonstrated experience delivering group training both in-person and online.
- Demonstrated experience delivering online training and using tools like polls and break-out rooms.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to deliver on agreed goals.
- Contribute to achievements both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in and/or knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, including small to medium-sized volunteer organisations.
Importantly:
- This role will require regular travel within the Perth Metro area. A current and valid WA driver’s licence is therefore necessary.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required to deliver training sessions at times that suit our clients.
- To ensure the safety of our community members, including our younger members, we require you to obtain a National Working with Children Card and a National Police Certificate. Volunteering WA will pay for these applications.
What We Offer
- $51,200 (equivalent to $85,300 for full-time), plus salary packaging of up to $18,549 in tax-free pay per year
