Volunteering Australia is asking candidates to pledge to work in partnership with the volunteering sector to support the work of volunteers, volunteer managers and volunteer-involving organisations if elected on July 2.

Volunteers and Volunteer Involving Organisations can help in a number of ways:

  • Send a letter or email to your local candidates asking them to take the pledge to Vote for Volunteering. Click here to download a template to get started. 

  • Invite your local candidates to visit your organisation so you can show a first hand example of the excellent work volunteers and volunteer managers are doing in our community. 

  • Share VA's Federal Election platform on social media using the hashtag, #Vote4Volunteering.
