Thank a Volunteer Day Grants Opened

International Volunteer Day, known as Thank a Volunteer Day in WA, is held each year on 5 December. The Department of Communities provides funding to support community events and activities throughout Western Australia on Thank a Volunteer Day each year.

In support of these organisations and volunteers, the Department of Communities delivers the Thank a Volunteer Day Grants Program which offers grants of up to $1,000 for organisations to host volunteer recognition events or associated activities to celebrate International Volunteer Day on 5 December.

Grants are open now (opening on Friday 16 June 2023 and closing on Thursday 27 July 2023 at 2:30pm)
