Volunteering WA is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2025 WA Volunteer of the Year Awards are now open. We invite you to nominate a volunteer, volunteer manager, or volunteer involving organisation to celebrate their exceptional contributions

Held in celebration of National Volunteer Week (19-25 May 2025) each year, the WA Volunteer of the Year Awards recognise the significant impact of volunteers across all sectors in Western Australia. As the peak body for volunteering within Western Australia, Volunteering WA is proud to host the Awards. We are continually inspired by the hundreds of submissions we receive each year, which detail the powerful contributions volunteers and organisation around WA have made.

Nomination entry guidelines and online submission forms are available on the WA Volunteer of the Year Awards website.

2025 Timings

  • 5 December 2025: Nominations open
  • February: Tickets on sale
  • 28 February 2025: Nominations close
  • March: Judging selection panels meet
  • End of March, 2025: Finalists announced
  • May 2025: Ticket sales close (unless sold out prior)
  • 15 May 2025: WA Volunteer of the Year Awards Gala Dinner
  • 19-25 May 2025: National Volunteer Week 2025

2025 WA Volunteer of the Year Awards are open for nominations: 

  • Excellence in Volunteer Management, presented by AON
  • Inclusive Volunteering Award, presented by the Minderoo Foundation
  • Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering, presented by Advocare
  • WA Young Volunteer of the Year, presented by the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation
  • Corporate Volunteering Impact Award, presented by NeonLogic
  • Community Volunteer Organisation of the Year, supported by Lotterywest
  • RAC WA Volunteer of the Year, presented by RAC

Nominations close: 5:00pm Friday 28 February 2025

Finalists from each category will be invited to the formal gala dinner presentation on Thursday 15 May 2025.
