Free Workshop: Aboriginal Culture Learning Journey

Presented during NAIDOC Week 2022 this cultural immersion workshop offers to navigate the First Nations culture, focusing on engaging with Aboriginal people. Sharon’s workshop offers a safe cultural appropriate space for everyone of all nations, preferences and experiences to participate.

Facilitated by Sharon Wood-Kenney

Sharon is a proud Noongar woman from South West Kinships who provides cultural immersions for people to experience and gain some understanding of First Nations culture.  She is passionate about volunteering and demonstrates the importance of keeping communities connected. Sharon is walking besides Volunteering WA and the volunteering sector through an Aboriginal Culture Learning Journey ‘Karditjin Bidi’.

  • Participate in a welcoming First Nations cultural experience
  • Be provided with a safe space for real questions and where volunteering fits into Aboriginal culture
  • Reflect on ways to support and engage with First Nations people.
