27/03/2019

Volunteering WA is proud to open public voting for the Community News People’s Choice ‘Spirit of Volunteering’ Award for the 2019 Western Australian Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The People’s Choice Award provides the public a chance to have their say in recognising WA’s outstanding volunteers who have enhanced the lives of others and the community.

The volunteer with the most votes will receive the prestigious 2019 People’s Choice Award at a Gala Awards Presentation Dinner at the Crown Perth on Wednesday 22 May, during National Volunteer Week (20-26 May 2019)

Voting is open now at https://awards.volunteeringwa.org.au/peoples-choice and will close on Tuesday 16 April.

Tina Williams, CEO of Volunteering WA said that the People’s Choice Award finalists were a group of exceptional people who did not seek recognition for their generous contributions.

“I encourage the public to read the finalists’ profiles and vote for the volunteer that most inspires them,” Ms Williams said. Voting will close on Tuesday 16 April.

The ten People’s Choice Award finalists are:

  • Robert Tracey
  • Peter Graham
  • Ruth Anderson
