Christmas Message from Volunteering WA CEO - Tina Williams

18/12/2018

With only a few days to go until our Christmas holidays and 2019 quickly approaching, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on 2018 and what we’ve accomplished as individuals, teams, organisations and for the volunteer sector as a whole.

It has been a tremendously busy and productive year for Volunteering WA and a privilege to work alongside many of you. We are extremely proud of the impact we’ve made together in our communities and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our members, supporters and partners for their ongoing support of Volunteering WA and the work we do together in leading, advancing and celebrating volunteering in WA.

It’s been heart-warming to meet many wonderful people throughout the year and hear their volunteering stories and discover the causes they feel passionate about, and incredibly, how volunteering helps them as much as the causes they serve.

The team and I are looking forward to a well-earned rest over Christmas, spending time with family and friends and pondering what 2019 has in store for us. Our office will be closed from Thursday 20 December and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January to commence another fantastic year.

I wish you a safe and happy festive season spent with your loved ones and a prosperous New Year. And a good fruit mince pie or two thrown in there for good measure.

Happy Volunteering and warm wishes,

Tina Williams
