Volunteering WA – Advocating for You
Volunteering WA, Advocating for You (Members Only)
Volunteering WA continuously works behind the scenes to advocate for your interests and concerns to influence 'structural' changes and decisions (e.g., in policy, legislation, resource allocation) that support your success. Your input is critical to informing the priorities for our advocacy program.
During this session, Meredith Blais, Volunteering WA's Executive Manager Policy and Research, will:
- introduce to you, key personnel working in policy and advocacy for the volunteering sector in WA
- outline VWA’s approach to policy and advocacy
- provide an insight into key issues for the past three years
- give you an update on activity regarding our ‘Reduce the Burden’ campaign.
Participants will be encouraged to provide feedback on the areas and issues important to them.
Suitability: For CEOs, Senior Managers of VIOs, and Volunteer Managers and Coordinators who are full members of Volunteering WA
