Designing Volunteer Roles and Position Descriptions

Defining and managing the work of volunteers is fundamental to good practice in volunteer involvement and a core part of Standard 4 of the National Standards for Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs).

Written position descriptions allow managers and volunteers to document the nature of the agreed work. This session will look at what a position description is, the importance of having one and designing roles which add value to your VIO.

Suitability: For all Metro and Regional VIOs

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points: Up to 1 CPD point is awarded for attending this network session
