Workshop 3: Importance of Cultural Safety
Prerequisite for participating in this session is to complete the online microlearning session: Becoming an Inclusive Volunteer Involving Organisation (VIO) - the link will be sent to you separate to registration.

In this two-hour session, we will cover:
• Acknowledgement of Country
• explore and understand what ‘cultural safety’ is
• become aware of cultural considerations
• learn how to create a culturally safe space
• tips to engage people of Aboriginal background as volunteers

Suitability: For all Volunteer Involving Organisations and their employees.
