*Free* Plain Language and Easy English Accessibility Workshop

This workshop hosted by the Centre for Accessibility is designed to support and encourage participants to communicate clearly and convey content to people of all abilities through your website and social media pages.

Some of the benefits of plain language and Easy English include:

  • readers understand your messages quickly e.g volunteer role descriptions
  • it benefits everybody, including people with disabilities, people who use English as a second language (ESL) and also expert readers
  • it is easily searchable on websites

To assist making your writing and messages clear and accessible to everyone, this workshop will feature an overview of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the difference between plain language, simple English and easy English.

This online learning is offered free to Western Australian volunteer involving organisations thanks to funding from the Australian Government Department of Social Services
