State Volunteering Centre opens.
1988
Focused on the building of strong volunteer foundations including development of priorities, practices, policies, procedures, profile and moving to new premises in Stirling Street, Perth.
1988 - 1992
Saw the building of the volunteering dream with the creation of programs, the first Volunteer Resource Centre in Peel, a national conference in Perth, accredited Certificate IV Training, positive perspectives and a shared future vision.
1993 - 1996
Forging strong community relationships, finding and strengthening our place in the national and state arenas.
1997 - 2000
The International Year of Volunteers was a turning point for volunteering in Western Australia with increased support, resources and profile.
2001
Witnessed a sector and organisational restructuring to develop statewide support services.
2002
Sees a ringing in the changes to achieve positive outcomes for the community. Volunteering WA enhances its peak body role of supporting volunteering across Western Australia and building stronger communities through volunteering.
2006 - 2008
Volunteering WA focus is on securing involvement of non-traditional entities, enhancing programs and services, growth of our membership base and the organisation as a whole. IVY+10 in 2011 is a significant year in continuing to raise the profile of Volunteering in WA.
2009 - 2011
Advocacy, sector leadership, development and sustainability are key focus areas along with profile raising. Proactively progressing service delivery inline with technical and social change. 2013 sees Volunteering WA celebrate it's 25th birthday.
