The Intro to Volunteering is an informal introduction to volunteering. It is of particular value to those who are volunteering for the first time and those who are seeking different volunteer experiences. Come along to this free session and learn about: The benefits of volunteering, The volunteering opportunities available, Identifying the skills that you have to contribute to volunteering, Rights and responsibilities of volunteers and volunteer involving agencies, and how to find the right volunteering position.
The Volunteer Management Network forum is designed for co-ordinators and managers of volunteers to enable them to come together in an atmosphere of common interest and friendship. It is an opportunity to discuss issues, ideas and concerns relating to volunteer management programmes, as well as a great networking opportunity with other like-minded professionals. Everyone is very welcome, regardless of levels of experience as knowledge and good practice is shared for the benefit of all.
This workshop is intended for managers and co-ordinators of volunteers in organisations new to Volunteering WA, as well as newly appointed co-ordinators/managers in current member organisations. An opportunity is provided to meet the staff of VWA and find out about the support services available through an organisation’s membership entitlement, as well as an introduction to successful and rewarding volunteer management.
