Happy International Volunteer Day

Volunteering WA would like to take this opportunity to wish all volunteers a happy International Volunteer Day and to say thank you for the wonderful contribution you all make to our communities.

We also thank all those who attended the Garden Party on Sunday 4 December - it was a fantastic sight to see 1200 people join together to celebrate volunteering.

Special acknowledgement goes to the Department for Communities for their support of the event, and of volunteering, and to those who received the 50+ years of service badge at the Garden Party. There is a lovely article in The West Australian (dated 5 Dec) that highlights this.

Joondalup celebrations

Our Joondalup Volunteer Resource Centre also celebrated with a morning tea on Friday 2 December. Groups and volunteers associated with the JVRC joined with Volunteering WA and City of Joondalup staff to enjoy some delicious food and hear the Mayor of Joondalup thank volunteers for all their hard work.

Special acknowledgement goes to City of Joondalup, Department for Communities, The Blend(er) Gallery and Joondalup Health Campus for their support of this event.
