Australia Day volunteers wanted

Move over Christmas, Australia Day is the newest popular day to volunteer (well along with every other)! We've had this request come in so if you have a couple of hours to spare this January 26th please let them know.

Make Every Australian Count by volunteering to help those with a disability on Australia Day, Jan 26th

"Australians with a disability and their families/carers have been left behind the rest of us – financially, socially and physically. The Every Australian Counts campaign www.everyaustraliancounts.com.au is working to change this by campaigning for a National Disability Insurance scheme which would make sure that they are legally entitled to the support and services they need, not competing against one another for limited resources which are different in every state. But this will only happen if Every Australian Counts have a big enough voice that governments cannot ignore.  On Jan 26th they need volunteers to wear their campaign t shirts and sign people up to their cause at various locations prior to the Skyworks.  You will be thoroughly briefed prior to the day and will be required for approximately 2 hours in the afternoon.  If this is something you would be willing to do please contact Geraldine Mellet the WA Coordinator of Every Australian Counts campaign on 9208 9817 or Geraldine.mellet@ndis.org.au.
