Volunteer roles
Volunteers perform crucial roles on the day, including assisting guests to navigate the venue and services, serving food and drinks and assisting the service providers. The connection between volunteers and guests is critical to the success of the day. All volunteers will receive training and we will have specialists on hand. We're looking for both specialist volunteers and general volunteers (you're special to us too!).
Specialist Volunteers
We’re looking for certified professionals and people with specialist skills to volunteer their services on the day. Anyone can volunteer their time and services; however we would especially like to hear from:
- General Practitioners
- Nurses
- Dentists
- Optometrists
- Podiatrists
- Specialist Assistants

- Hairdressers
- Bus Drivers
- Entertainers
- Massage Therapists
- Acupuncturists

- Child Care Professionals

- Reiki Practitioners
- Reflexologists
- Natural Therapies

General Volunteers
Can you help out in any of the following areas?
Meet & Greet /Services Team
- Meeting guests & escorting them to the coffee area, explaining services at the event
- Assist the guest to fill out the HC data collection sheet and identify their service requirements e.g. medical, dental
- Escort guests to services as required
Specialist Assistant Team
- Provide support to the Meet & Greet Team who have difficulties or concerns with guests
- Assume responsibility for assisting guests who need special attention
Service Team
- Responsible for recording & safe storage of any goods brought to the event by guests
- Assist & support other volunteers & staff as required
Exit Team
- Ensure guests collect any items from the cloak room or any pets
- Check for referral information recorded on service sheets
- Provide assistance as required
Donation Sorters
- Sort through the donations and make up guest bags before the event
- Help with packing up any remaining donations after the event.
