Event volunteering
This section is used to advertise upcoming events on behalf of our member organisations where there is a need for volunteers. Event volunteering is great for those who are looking for one off or short term volunteer opportunities or for those who want to try something different.

If you would like to help or want more information please contact Karen Davison at The Cancer Council of WA on 9212 4322 (voicemail after 2.30pm) or sign up at the Daffodil Day website.

Activ City to Surf - 31 August 2008
Volunteers are vital to the successful staging of HBF Activ City to Surf. As the event has grown so has the need to recruit confident, quality volunteers who contribute to the safety of participants along each kilometer of the course. This year Activ will require over 700 volunteers on event day – Sunday 31st August.
Volunteers ensure the smooth running of the event from participant marshalling, effective flow of traffic, enquiries, parking, hydration and finish line activities.
Activ is a community benefit organisation that has been providing care, employment and services for people with disability, their families and carers since 1951. Proceeds from HBF Activ City to Surf are used directly to help continue improve the services our organisation offers people with disability in WA.
If you would like to help out then please see the Activ website for full details of positions and contact details.
Relay for Life - 20 and 21 September 2008
Relay For Life is a 24 hour team fundraising event which raises awareness and supports those in our community touched by cancer. Volunteering is a great opportunity to help make this inaugural northern corridor Relay for Life a success. Volunteers are the backbone and without them it would not be possible to undertake such an event.
There is a diverse range of volunteering opportunities including administration, food, set up/pack away, marshalling, sales and many more.
