Jill Huish
Referral Officer, Joondalup Volunteer Centre

I began volunteering in 2008 and started out by helping at shopping centre, promoting volunteering. In 2009 I started with referrals at the Joondalup Volunteer Centre on a Tuesday, I interview people who are interested in volunteering and enter their details to a database, at which they are given referrals to the positions they may enjoy.

I enjoy volunteering because I am able to interact with people who are great and it is satisfying where I volunteer, to help others achieve what they desire to do.

I have a bookkeeping background and really enjoy working with figures and the technology that is available today to make it easy. I love new technology. My other hobby is quilting, being an organised person I enjoy if for its precision and creativity.
